I LOVE a good rain storm! Especially in the summer when it is so hot!
This little storm made about a 10 degree difference in our temperature!
After about 30 minutes the street was running up to the top of the curb!
Looking forward to August. Hot hot weather and afternoon thunderstorms.

Summer rain in AZ is very different. You can see the clouds work their way across the sky, the rain comes down hard and fast and then the storm is over. I've seen the street fill many times like that but never had it come up to the house. Also it drains off quickly.
I've been loving this weather. Monsoon season is one of my favorites here. I just keep telling myself that once October comes, things will cool off again.

We get a lot of those late afternoon thunderstorms too. It does drop the temps rather quickly.
