Closer and Closer......

I really don't know what to make of this owl!  Scott is out in the back yard mowing the lawn and the owl is not only out there but in a lower to the ground tree!  I am amazed at the pictures he's letting me get.

We need a name for Owlie. Like Hoots McFarland. I don't know why.
I just have to name everything.

LOL! Katy's been calling him "Hootie". Says she's thinking about making that the last name and giving it a new first name. :)

Marlene, I would adore an owl close by. They not only see in and through darkness !!!!! but are symbols of transformation.
Maybe you like to check this post of mine which I did during art therapy

Marlene- I had a dream the other night that I was trying to find fresh chicken eggs. I found a weird bumpy egg and brought it home. I opened it up and inside was....your owl. lol. Now your owl is invading my mindspace. Criminy.

Isn't that exciting! We had an owl in our yard this year for the first time, and we are thrilled. We planted bird friendly shrubs years ago, and we do feed the birds. Unfortunately that attracts other, furrier little critters who are less welcome, so I figure we are providing a smorgasbord for the owl and the local hawks, who also come by. I'm glad they are keeping the unwelcome population under control for us.

Blessings,
